High-purity water, or ultrapure water, is water that has been purified as per the stringent specifications and standards provided by different applications. High-purity water or ultrapure water finds applications in the semiconductor industry, power plants, and pharmaceuticals. Stringent safety and hygiene measures, mainly in the healthcare and food industries, have contributed to the growing need for ultrapure water. Also driving the growth is the increasing number of semiconductor manufacturers in Mexico, increasing demand for gas turbines, and pharmaceutical water treatment are other driving factors for the market.
This Reverse Osmosis System treats wastewater from a pharmaceutical manufacturer and reclaims water for reuse in the production process. Three different reverse osmosis systems are used to produce final permeate water of less than 3 us/cm conductivity at a recovery of more than 93%.
